Student Scholarship (Applications Due April 17)
Advertising students interested in a $1,000 scholarship should apply by April 1, 2009. The AAFBR student scholarships are designed to assist and support outstanding students who show significant professional promise and commitment to advertising. A selection committee will choose TWO of the most qualified candidates – one for the general scholarship and one for the diversity scholarship. The winners will be announced in the May 2009 newsletter. Each winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship to be applied to his or her current university, as well as a one-year honorary membership in the American Advertising Federation of Baton Rouge.

2009 Spring Student Workshops
The future of advertising in our local community relies on the students of today. This year we are looking to host a one day student seminar for advertising, graphic design and other communications students from our area colleges. If you have any ideas on topics, speakers, or resources you think would be an asset to this visit please let me know. Also, if you would like to volunteer to assist in this event please contact Jason.
